Ingredients
– 12 oz fresh cranberries
– 1 cup sugar
– 1 cup water or orange juice
– 1 tsp orange zest (optional)
– 1/2 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
Instructions

1. Rinse cranberries under cool water.
2. In a medium saucepan, combine sugar and water/orange juice. Bring to a boil.
3. Add cranberries and reduce heat to medium.
4. Simmer for 10 minutes until berries burst and sauce thickens.
5. Stir in orange zest or vanilla if desired.
6. Cool completely and refrigerate until ready to serve.
