Ingredients
• 1 cup (225g) unsalted butter, melted
• 1 1/4 cups (250g) granulated sugar
• 1 cup (200g) brown sugar
• 4 large eggs, room temperature
• 1 tbsp vanilla extract
• 1 cup (120g) all-purpose flour
• 1 cup (120g) unsweetened cocoa powder
• 1 tsp salt
• 1 cup chocolate chips or chunks
Instructions
• Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment paper.
• In a large bowl, whisk melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until glossy.
• Add eggs and vanilla, whisking for 1 full minute until thick and ribbony.
• Sift in flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Fold gently—do not overmix.
• Fold in chocolate chips.
• Spread the batter into the pan and smooth the top.
• Bake for 28–34 minutes until the center is set but still fudgy.
• Cool completely before slicing for dense, gooey squares.
