INGREDIENTS
– 8 slices brioche or thick-cut bread
– 4 large eggs
– 1 cup whole milk (or half-and-half for richer texture)
– 2 tbsp sugar
– 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
– 1/2 tsp cinnamon
– Pinch of salt
– 2 tbsp butter (for cooking)
– Maple syrup, powdered sugar, berries (optional)
DIRECTIONS
1. In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt.
2. Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat and add a small amount of butter.
3. Dip each bread slice into the custard mixture for 2–3 seconds per side.
4. Cook 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown.
5. Serve warm with syrup, powdered sugar, or berries.
