Ingredients
For the Shrimp:
• 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
• Salt and pepper, to taste
• 1 tablespoon olive oil
For the Sauce:
• 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
• 3 cloves garlic, minced
• ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
• ¼ cup dry white wine (or chicken broth)
• 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
• ¼ cup chopped parsley
For the Pasta:
• 8 oz linguine or spaghetti
• 1 tablespoon olive oil (for tossing)
• Salt, for pasta water
Directions
1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook pasta until al dente according to package directions. Drain, toss with 1 tablespoon olive oil, and set aside.
2. Season shrimp with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add shrimp and sauté 1–2 minutes per side, until pink and just cooked. Transfer to a plate.
3. In the same skillet, melt butter. Add garlic and red pepper flakes and cook 30 seconds until fragrant. Stir in white wine and simmer 1–2 minutes, reducing slightly. Add lemon juice.
4. Return shrimp to the skillet and toss in the sauce. Add cooked pasta and toss everything together until evenly coated.
5. Garnish with chopped parsley and a squeeze of fresh lemon. Serve immediately with crusty bread or a side salad.
Chef’s Tips
